Painting with the palette knife definitely created some challenges for me. However, it made the painting fun because it reminded me of icing a cake. What frustrated me the most was the shoe laces and making them look realistic and not blend in with the shoe. I overcame the frustration by concentrating on the light and the red that reflected in the shoe. I would definitely use the pallet knife again because it made it easier to simplify and it was fun to paint with. My thinking while using the palette knife was more simplified
